Whenever a property developer completes the new build or newly converted homes within their project, it is essential that there is an insurance warranty provided. This ensures that the developer and builder are covered and the purchasers are insured against major defects that could occur in the first 10 years.
All mortgage providers will request a copy of the 10 year warranty in order to offer purchasers a loan, so it is important to put cover in place in order to sell your properties.

Development funders also wish to see that developers have quotes in place before the funding is drawn as technical reviews will begin even before work has commenced and inspections will begin from the outset of the development.
